Life wins foundation has been working in the field of cancer awareness and early detection for the past 3 years. We have organised a considerable number of awareness sessions, panel discussions & detection camps.

We have successfully been able to reach more than 800 direct beneficiaries & more than 3200 indirect ones. This massive reach in such a short span of time has only been possible due to the community-based organisations & Local NGOs we partner and work closely with.  Our approach is through networking & relationships. We have initially worked with some great organisations like:

• Yuva Foundation – Kherwadi, Bandra East
• Connect, Navi Mumbai
• Safal Vikas Welfare Society, Malvani
• Panchsheel Bodh Vihar Samajik Sewa Sangh, Chandivali

We also partner with health professionals for our Medical, cancer awareness and detection camps. In the past, we have also worked with the Indian Cancer Society. The experienced team from the Indian Cancer Society has helped us organise camps for breast cancer, cervical cancer, oral cancer & whole body checkups.

We also collaborate with the preventive oncology department of the Tata Memorial Hospital. People who come to our screening camps & need further investigations  are referred to the Tata Memorial Hospital. They perform further tests to determine if the person is suffering from cancer or not. If a person is detected with cancer, we provide financial support, fully or partially (depending on the availability of funds). We also provide emotional support to the patients. Apart from the people, we refer to the Tata Memorial Hospital, we also try to help out those who are already at the hospital and are in need. The hospital also reaches out to us in case they feel a patient needs our help in any manner.
