We launched LWF with a successful anti-tobacco campaign “#DontLiftYourFirstCig.” The campaign which was aimed at creating awareness about the ill effects of tobacco was launched with a video which included messages from Mr. Pravil Patil, DCP, Mumbai, Maharashtra and Dr. Pankaj Chaturvedi, Cancer Surgeon  Head & Neck Department, Tata Memorial Hospital.

We hold regular free cancer awareness and detection camps by getting health professionals on board. These camps are conducted in slums to reach out to the underprivileged section of our society. We at LWF have a firm belief that early detection of cancer will save precious lives and the best way to assure this is to reach out to the underprivileged, especially the women.

We collaborated with Mithibai College of Arts for their renowned festival – Kshitij. In a creative initiative, we brought smiles to the faces of small kids who are fighting with the dreadful disease of cancer. The kids were patients at the Paediatric ward at the Tata Memorial Hospital.
