Covid Relief Work

Fundraising for Critical Care Resource Mobilization for the fight against COVID-19 in May 2021

Life Wins Foundation mobilized funds and donations of around 30 lakhs to overcome severe deficiency and shortage of oxygen and other medical supplies. We arranged for oxygen cylinders, oxygen concentrators, BiPAP machines, ICU Monitors, fogging machines, vital sign monitors – Pulse Oxy-meters, thermometers, essential Medicare kit like Gloves, N95 masks, surgical masks etc for rural healthcare centers and needy patients. The mobilization was primarily through friends and relatives of the LWF Team and Mr. Sanjeeva Shivesh who is a Cranfield Alumni. In the process LWF received 20 Oxygen Concentrators and 25000 N-95 masks from Tata Memorial Center (TMC) sent by Navya, an online arm of TMC to scale access to cancer expertise.

While the crisis was visible largely in metros and other major cities, people in lower income groups had not been able to access much healthcare support especially in rural areas. Hence Life Wins Foundation along with Cranfield Alumni jointly identified the hospitals in Tier – 2/3/4 and rural areas.  From the interiors of Hazipur, Dharghanga, Bhagalpur, Patna in Bihar; Chiplun, Khed, Kolhapur in Maharashtra; Kanpur, Banda, Mirzapur, Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh many patients benefited from the resourced medical necessities.  We also identified domestic and global supplies to ensure supplies reach them within short notice. The foundation worked with various stakeholders to ensure execution of on-grounds efforts seamlessly in remote locations and rural belts.

LWF was able to cater to the medical needs of the following hospitals through COVID relief Funds raised to combat pandemic.

COVID had been tough on many families from the lower strata of the society as many lost their jobs and businesses due to pandemic. LWF in association with Rotary Club of Mumbai Western Elite, reached out to around 250 families living in Mumbai suburbs like Santa Cruz, Borivali, Goregaon and Gorai who were affected by the pandemic and were given dry ration support by Life Wins Foundation. Support was also provided to a group of women that had widows, women working as maids or women doing odd jobs like bangle making and selling. All the families were given one month of groceries to feed their families during the lockdown.
